SynopsisMary Zimmerman's mesmerizing play recounts the adventures of Jason and his crew aboard the Argo on a perilous mission to cross the forbidden ocean in a quest for the Golden Fleece. Written by Mary Zimmerman. Adapted from The Voyage of Jason and the Argonauts. The play follows Jason and his crew, the Argonauts, as they embark on a perilous voyage across a forbidden ocean. Their mission is to obtain the Golden Fleece, a task that requires them to overcome numerous obstacles. Along the way, they encounter a variety of mythical beings, including monsters, goddesses, and nymphs.

Argonautika callbacks will begin with a movement/ensemble call to get a sense of the actor's ability to play in an ensemble, take direction, and utilize special skills such as singing, tumbling, juggling etc. Please wear black movement clothing that is comfortable to move.

 

After the first half of the day, a new list will be posted with new groupings and times to read sides in the 4-8pm portion of callbacks.

To Do Before Your Callback: Everyone called back for a mainstage production will need to complete this Performer Comfort & Consent Questionnaire. This form is intended to ensure performer comfort and clarity around costuming, staging, and quick-change needs. It will not be used during the casting process and will only be shared with the costume designer and shop after the roles have been accepted. If you are called back for both mainstage shows, you only need to complete the questionnaire once.
